Devising Workshops For Theatre Artists

For performers, designers, writers, directors!

Workshops explore inventive strategies for ensemble collaboration and devising. A playful process encompasses a holistic approach of physicality, intuition, and intellect, to discover vibrant and surprising theatrical ideas. Exercises are based on my work with Critical Mass Performance Group over the past 35 years.

Workshops are tailored to the needs of your group and can run from 2 hours to multi-day sessions. Possible areas of focus could include:

• devising around a theme
• research-based ideas
• adaptation of existing material
• exploration of personal stories
• working with objects, images, metaphor
